Effective date: July 2026
Welcome to Total Web Solutions. These terms explain how we work together when you engage us for a service — written in plain English, because that is how we like to do things. By requesting a quote, placing an order on this website, or engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Total Web Solutions (totalwebsolutions.co) is an independent web design and SEO studio operating from Alor Setar, Malaysia, founded by Jenson (Business Registration No. 202303156196 (RA0101133-T)). We are a small remote team serving clients in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. You can reach us at [email protected] or on WhatsApp.
2. No affiliation with similarly named companies
Total Web Solutions (totalwebsolutions.co) is an independent business registered and operating in Malaysia (Business Registration No. 202303156196 (RA0101133-T)). We have no affiliation, connection, or association with Total Web Solutions Limited (UK) — an internet service provider based in the United Kingdom — or with any other similarly named company anywhere in the world. Any resemblance in name is coincidental.
To make sure you are dealing with us, verify through this domain (totalwebsolutions.co), our email [email protected], or our WhatsApp number WhatsApp chat — and only these channels. We are not responsible for the services, communications or charges of any similarly named business.
3. Our services
We provide website design and development, SEO, WordPress care and hosting plans, landing page design, and Google/Meta ads management. The scope of your project is what is written in your quote, proposal or package description — nothing more, nothing less. If you would like something added later, we are happy to quote for it separately.
4. Quotes and discovery
Most projects start with a free discovery chat — through our contact form, WhatsApp, or a booked call — so we understand your business before we quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A project begins once you accept the quote and pay the deposit or package price.
5. Payment terms
- One-off packages (websites, landing pages, audits) are paid upfront through our checkout or by invoice, unless your quote says otherwise.
- Custom projects usually run on a deposit-plus-milestones basis — typically 50% to start and the balance before launch. Your quote will state the exact split.
- Monthly subscriptions (care & hosting plans, SEO retainers, ads management) renew and are billed automatically each cycle until cancelled. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how cancellation works.
- Currency is Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) unless your quote states otherwise. Payment processing fees or bank charges on your side are yours to cover.
- Late payments may pause work until the account is settled.
6. What we need from you
Good projects are a two-way street. To keep your project moving, we need you to:
- Provide content (text, images, logos) and any access we need (domain, hosting, existing site) in reasonable time.
- Give feedback and approvals promptly — long silences push timelines back.
- Make sure any material you give us is yours to use (or properly licensed) and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
7. Timelines
Any timeline we give you is a good-faith estimate, not a guarantee. Delivery depends on the size of the project and how quickly we receive your content, feedback and approvals. We will always tell you early if something shifts.
8. Intellectual property
Once your project is fully paid, you own the final delivered website — the design, the content we created for you, and the site itself. We keep the right to use tools, code libraries, and know-how we bring to every project, and third-party assets (themes, plugins, stock images, fonts) stay under their own licences.
We may showcase completed work in our portfolio and marketing (with a link and a short description). If you would rather we did not, just tell us — we will leave your project out, no hard feelings.
9. Third-party services
Websites depend on services we do not control — hosting providers, WordPress plugins, booking tools, payment processors, Google, Meta and similar platforms. Their own terms and pricing apply to their services, and we are not responsible for their outages, changes or decisions. Where we manage hosting or plugins for you under a care plan, we will do our best to handle issues promptly, but we cannot guarantee third-party uptime.
10. An honest word about SEO and ads
Nobody can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google — and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. Search engines and ad platforms change their algorithms and policies constantly. What we promise is honest, proven work: solid technical foundations, quality content, transparent reporting, and realistic expectations set up front. Results take time and are never guaranteed.
11. Cancellations and ending an engagement
Subscriptions can be cancelled as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. For project work, either side may end the engagement in writing; you pay for work completed up to that point, and we hand over what has been paid for. We may retain delivery of work until outstanding invoices are settled. We may also end an engagement if these terms are seriously breached or if the working relationship becomes unworkable.
12. Limitation of liability
In plain English: we take real care with your project, but we are a small studio, not an insurer of your business. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our services is capped at the amount you actually paid us for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data caused by third parties, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Malaysia. That said, if something goes wrong, talk to us first — we would much rather fix it than argue about it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies, and the effective date above tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be flagged to active subscription clients.
