Every plan includes
- Keyword & competitor research behind every recommendation
- Market exclusivity — we will not run SEO for a direct competitor while we work with you, plus 3 months after. Read the policy
- A content brief scored against the current top-ranking pages before writing starts
- Editorial review and fact-check on every draft
- AI answer readiness — content structured so ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews can cite you (AEO/GEO built in, not an add-on)
- Changes implemented directly on your site — not a report you have to action yourself
- One flat monthly fee — no hourly surprises
- Month-to-month after a 3-month ramp-up — no 12-month lock-in
What we don’t do
- Paid ad spend (Google/Meta media budgets are separate)
- Guaranteed #1 rankings — nobody can promise that honestly
- Bulk or purchased backlinks
SEO Upkeep — for sites already in good shape
RM 450 / month — add-on to any care plan
- A monthly technical SEO and security check
- Up to 10 fixes: titles, descriptions, broken links, redirects, alt text, structured data, indexing
- A backup before every change, and a dated report
- Upkeep, not a ranking campaign: no articles, keyword strategy or link building. For rankings, start at Foundation
SEO Scale — for multi-location and e-commerce
from RM 5,000 / month — quoted in writing
- Everything in Growth, with the scope sized to your business
- More content each month, and category and product page work for online stores
- Location pages only where you genuinely operate
- A quarterly strategy review, priced after an SEO audit, not guessed
How it works
- Research — keyword gap and competitor analysis pinpoints the terms your traffic is leaking to competitors.
- Brief — every article is scored against the current top-ranking pages before a word is written.
- Write & publish — drafted, edited and fact-checked, then published and optimised on your site.

SEO price in Malaysia: what agencies charge in 2026
Most Malaysian SEO agencies quote a monthly retainer rather than a fixed project fee, because search engine optimisation compounds over months rather than finishing on a delivery date. Published rates across the Malaysian market currently run from around RM500 to RM15,000 a month, and the spread is wide enough to be genuinely confusing. Here is what the market actually charges, so you can see where any SEO package you are offered sits.
| Tier | Typical monthly cost | What the SEO package usually includes |
|---|---|---|
| Entry / starter | RM500 – RM1,500 | 10–20 keywords tracked, basic on-page optimisation, 1–2 articles a month, Google Business Profile setup |
| SME growth | RM1,500 – RM5,000 | Technical SEO fixes, keyword research, 2–4 articles a month, local SEO, link building, monthly reporting |
| Competitive / enterprise | RM5,000 – RM15,000+ | Multi-location or national campaigns, digital PR, large-scale content, dedicated SEO strategy |
| One-off SEO audit | RM500 – RM5,000 | Technical review of your website, no ongoing work |
| Freelance SEO consultant | RM100 – RM500 / hour | Specific fixes or advice, billed by time |
Our own SEO services sit in the SME growth band — RM1,500 a month for Foundation and RM3,000 a month for Growth. We are not the cheapest SEO agency in Malaysia and we do not try to be. Below roughly RM800 a month, the numbers stop working: an agency cannot fund genuine keyword research, technical SEO and original content writing at that price, so what usually gets delivered is thin content and a rankings report.
What is actually included in an SEO package
SEO packages in Malaysia vary enormously in what they contain, which is the main reason two quotes for the same business can differ by RM4,000. These are the seven components worth checking for in any proposal you receive.
- Keyword research and competitor analysis — identifying the search terms your customers actually use, and which competitors currently capture that organic traffic.
- Technical SEO — crawlability, site speed, mobile usability, indexing and structured data, so search engines can read your website properly.
- On-page optimisation — title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and image alt text across your key pages.
- Content writing — original articles and page copy built around search intent, not keyword stuffing.
- Local SEO — Google Business Profile optimisation, map rankings and local citations, which matter most for single-location businesses.
- Link building — earning relevant references from other websites. Quality matters far more than volume here. See where you stand with our free Domain Rating checker.
- Reporting — Google Search Console and Google Analytics tracking, with a monthly report showing search rankings, organic traffic and enquiries.
SEO agency vs freelancer vs in-house
| Typical monthly cost | Best suited to | Main risk | |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO agency | RM1,500 – RM5,000 | Businesses wanting strategy, content and technical work handled together | Paying for account management rather than delivery |
| Freelance SEO consultant | RM800 – RM2,500 | Specific problems, or businesses with an in-house marketer already | Capacity limits and single-person dependency |
| In-house hire | RM4,000 – RM8,000 salary | Companies publishing content continuously | One person rarely covers technical SEO, content and link building well |
What changes your SEO quote
Six factors move a quote up or down more than anything else. How competitive your niche is; how many keywords and locations you need to rank for; the current technical condition of your website; how much content already exists; whether you need link building in a competitive category; and whether you want an SEO company to implement the fixes or simply advise. A local clinic in Ipoh and a national e-commerce brand can both be quoted “SEO services in Malaysia” and be looking at a five-fold difference in cost, entirely legitimately.
Choosing the right SEO provider: is the quote fair?
Before you compare prices, compare what each SEO quotation actually commits to. The cheapest SEO service is rarely the lowest price for SEO once the gaps are filled. These are the questions we would ask any SEO provider in Malaysia, including us.
- Is the scope written down? Number of articles, pages optimised and keywords tracked each month, in writing, before you sign.
- Who implements the work? A fee that only covers recommendations means you still pay a developer or writer to act on them.
- How long is the contract? Twelve-month lock-ins protect the agency. Ours is a three-month ramp-up, then month to month.
- How are links earned? If the answer is “we buy them” or a fixed number of backlinks a month, walk away. Bought links risk a Google penalty.
- What is not included? Ad spend, website rebuilds, photography and translation are common extras. Ask before, not after.
- Who owns the work? Your content, Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics accounts should stay yours if you leave.
- What will the report show? Rankings, organic traffic and enquiries, not just a list of keywords that moved.
If a quote can’t answer these clearly, the low price is usually where the hidden costs are, and SEO campaigns built on a vague scope tend to stall by month four.
What results should you expect from SEO services in Malaysia?
The honest answer is that SEO results arrive in a sequence, not all at once. Knowing that sequence is the difference between a client who stays the course and one who cancels in month two believing nothing is happening.
| Timeline | What you should see | How we measure it |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1–2 | Technical issues fixed, pages indexed correctly, first articles published | Google Search Console coverage and indexing reports |
| Month 3–4 | Movement in search rankings on lower-competition terms; early impressions growth | Rank tracking, Search Console impressions |
| Month 5–8 | Organic traffic increase, first enquiries attributable to organic search | Google Analytics sessions and conversions |
| Month 9–12 | Competitive keywords reaching page one, compounding leads and sales | Ranking position, organic leads, revenue where tracked |
We report on three things every month: where you rank, how much organic traffic that visibility produced, and how many enquiries came from it. Rankings on their own are a vanity metric. A page-one position on a term nobody searches for produces no customers, which is why our keyword research starts from commercial intent rather than search volume alone.
SEO or Google Ads — which should you spend on first?
They solve different problems and the honest recommendation depends on your timeline. Paid search buys immediate visibility and stops the moment you stop paying. SEO takes months to build but the traffic continues without ongoing media spend. If you need leads this quarter, run ads. If you are building an asset over a year or more, SEO compounds. Most businesses we work with eventually run both, with paid search covering the gap while organic rankings mature.
What we would caution against is treating SEO as a short experiment. Three months is not long enough to judge it, and an agency that lets you sign up on that basis is setting up a disappointment. That is why our SEO packages run on a three-month ramp-up and then month to month — long enough to be fair to the work, without a twelve-month lock-in.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an SEO package cost in Malaysia per month?
Most Malaysian SMEs pay between RM1,500 and RM3,000 a month for legitimate SEO services. Entry-level SEO packages start near RM500 to RM1,500, and competitive or multi-location campaigns run from RM5,000 upward. Our SEO packages are RM1,500 and RM3,000 a month.
How long does SEO take to show results?
Expect early movement in search rankings around month three, and meaningful organic traffic growth between months six and twelve. Any SEO agency promising page-one results in 30 days is either targeting keywords nobody searches for, or is not being straight with you.
Is cheap SEO worth it?
Below about RM800 a month the economics do not support real work. What typically gets delivered is mass-produced content, purchased backlinks that risk a penalty, and a report showing improvement on keywords with no commercial value. Cheap SEO is usually more expensive than doing nothing, because cleaning up afterwards takes months.
Should I buy a one-off SEO audit or a monthly retainer?
An SEO audit makes sense if you have an in-house team who can action the findings. If nobody will implement them, a report is just a document. Our RM800 SEO Audit & Action Plan is a one-off; the monthly SEO packages above include the implementation.
Do you offer SEO services outside Malaysia?
Yes. We work with businesses across Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, and the price is identical in all three — quoted in Malaysian Ringgit, with no conversion markup.
Can you guarantee first-page rankings on Google?
No, and neither can any honest SEO company in Malaysia. Nobody controls Google’s search results. What we do commit to is a defined scope of work each month, changes implemented on your website rather than recommended, and transparent reporting on organic search performance.
How much does local SEO cost in Malaysia?
For a small business with one location, local SEO is usually part of an SEO package rather than a separate fee. Our Foundation plan at RM1,500 a month includes Google Business Profile setup and monthly optimisation alongside content and on-page work. If your site is already in good shape and you only need monthly checks and fixes, SEO Upkeep is RM450 a month as an add-on to a care plan.
Are there hidden costs in SEO packages?
There can be. Common extras are ad spend, website rebuilds, extra content and paid link placements. Our packages are one flat monthly fee with the scope written down; Google and Meta ad budgets are separate, and we do not buy links.
Is SEO still worth paying for in 2026?
For most businesses that sell to people who search before they buy, yes, but the work has changed. More searches now end in an AI answer, so content has to be clear enough for Google’s AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT to quote. We build that into every package. Our guide to answer engine optimisation explains what it involves.
Proof before you commit
We would rather show SEO performance than describe it. On 22 September 2026, third-party rank tracking for Google Malaysia showed Klinik SureCare in Ipoh on page one for 17 search terms; the case study shows the dated check, and rankings move, so we date every figure we publish. Home Dietitians in Kuala Lumpur was rebuilt around search intent and a WhatsApp-first enquiry flow. Both are in our portfolio case studies, with the actual work described rather than a logo wall.
If you would like to see where your own site stands before spending anything, run a free website and SEO scan. It checks the technical basics, flags what is blocking your rankings, and costs nothing. There is no obligation to buy an SEO package afterwards, and no call required — we will send the findings and you can decide.
Not sure a monthly retainer is the right shape yet? An audit and action plan from RM800 is a standalone engagement, and the findings are yours to use however you like.
