This is the privacy notice for Total Web Solutions (totalwebsolutions.co), an independent web design and SEO studio based in Alor Setar, Malaysia (Business Registration No. 202303156196 (RA0101133-T)). It explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your choices are — in plain English. We handle personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). If you are visiting from overseas (for example Singapore or Australia), we extend you the same GDPR-style rights described below.

What we collect

• Contact and onboarding forms: your name, email, phone number, business details, and anything you type into our enquiry or project onboarding forms.
• Order and payment data: when you buy a package or subscription through our checkout, we receive your order details and billing information. Card processing happens at the payment provider — we never see or store your card numbers.
• WhatsApp communications: if you message us on WhatsApp, we see your number, profile name and message history. WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta under its own privacy policy.
• Basic analytics and cookies: standard website usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type) collected through cookies and similar tools — see the cookies section below.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiries and quote for your project.
• To deliver the services you have engaged us for — building your website, running SEO or ads, managing your hosting.
• For invoicing, payments and account administration.
• To meet legal obligations, such as tax and business record-keeping.

We only collect what we actually need. We do not send marketing you have not asked for, and we do not do anything surprising with your data.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run this website and the sites we manage.
• Payment processors that handle checkout and subscription billing.

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. Some are located outside Malaysia, which means your data may be processed overseas with equivalent care. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as we need it for your engagement, plus the period required for legal and tax record-keeping. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the PDPA (and equivalent rights we extend to overseas visitors), you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct it if it is wrong or out of date.
• Withdraw consent to further processing, or ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.
